Why did you join H.I.E.C?
I believe we share a common approach to our daily work. It involves understanding and anticipating our clients’ needs. So much of search now is about embedding ourselves in our clients organisations, understanding their culture and strategic context to be an effective search partner. I also met truly inspiring partners and leaders, who are at the top of their industry and who share my strong values. Finally, of course, there are the great clients who trust H.I.E.C.
Why do you specialise in Consumer, Digital & Technology?
I began my career in the late 1990s and early 2000s, as the internet was rapidly transforming everything we knew following the big boom of ERP systems. I was deeply intrigued by this change; it was a new frontier, and everyone was learning together. During that time, I worked with startups, gaining insights into innovation in management and the execution of marketing and go-to-market (GTM) strategies. This experience allowed me to guide my corporate clients on emerging trends. We felt like pioneers in a new landscape, and now, I sense that same momentum returning with the rise of AI.
Do you have advice for people looking for work in your sector?
Be patient and make an effort to network frequently – aim for at least three new connections each week. Think creatively in your job search and concentrate on sectors that have high demand such as healthcare, wellness, travel, and hospitality.
